Making the Most of 2020: McCamy’s Year Wrapped Up
Thursday, December 31st, 2020
From all of us at McCamy Construction, we hope you have had a happy and restful holiday season! We are so thankful for everyone who has helped make the past year a success despite the challenges our world has faced. Being able to work alongside so many of you to serve our community has never felt like a bigger blessing. We are grateful, and we look forward to what the new year will bring! McCamy president, Grant McMahan, and interior designer, Ashley Jones, both agree that the highlight of 2020 was being able to work and stay busy in an unprecedented year. The pandemic certainly steered people towards the decision to make improvements on their homes. Many homeowners have taken a focus to their outdoor living areas. “Although we have completed our fair share of outdoor projects pre-covid, it’s clear the pandemic has people focused on their homes with outdoor living a top priority,” reflects Grant, “The mindset is, ‘if we have to stay home, we better make it nice.’”Pictured: West Knoxville pool, sunroom and outdoor living space featured in our October newsletter; Westmoreland covered deck extension featured in our May newsletter
McCamy’s Ashley Jones reflects on some design trends of the year. “This year has been about the small details–the pops in a room with trim, color, lighting, etc. that make it special. We love adding individualized touches to each project that make it unique to the homeowner.” She says that a big trend of the year has been the reintroduction of color and her favorite–wallpaper!
