Happy Holidays & A Handful Of Highlights From 2019

Happy Holidays from all of us at McCamy Construction! Our team members and our families once again gathered to enjoy watching Knoxville’s Christmas parade go by outside of our office on Gay Street. Amidst all the festivities, we felt grateful once again to be part of Greater Knoxville’s vibrant community.

As we reflect on our amazing projects in 2019, we’d also like to highlight our most recent project—our “NEW” McCamy Construction logo. (Check out our storefront in the photos!) As a company that has served our community and customers for over 10 years, we’re excited to start this new decade with a new look! This past year, we thoroughly enjoyed delivering exceptional custom solutions that exceeded client expectations in our 3 areas of expertise—transformational home renovations, newly built custom homes, and beautiful outdoor living spaces.

Our renovation of a Gay Street loft with a rooftop bar modernized both the look and function of the loft while also maintaining the integrity of the early-1800’s building. By moving the living space to the front of the loft to face Gay Street, as well as adding a hip rooftop bar, the entire living space is ideal for entertaining guests. In Farragut, our custom-built 3-bedroom home with studio space for the musician in the house delighted the homeowners so much that they extend an open invitation to anyone who’d like to tour the home to see what they call “McCamy quality”. The homeowner said, “I’ve never been in a house that’s so tight, safe, and well-built; it’s like we’re cocooned. When you sign up with McCamy you’re signing up for the lifestyle you’ve envisioned. This looks like a home that costs a lot more to build than it actually did.” To see what he means, take a peek at the blog post about their custom built dream home.

We finished out the year by constructing a pool and deck overlooking the Tennessee River that provides the missing link for a Sequoyah home. The homeowner felt the backyard between the home and the dock was “kind of a void,” with old brick pavers and tired landscaping. For years, he thought a pool would be perfect in that space and that if it was done right it would look like it was always meant to be there. He also knew McCamy was the crew to make it happen. In addition to those projects, our Facebook and Instagram friends enjoyed following our progress on several other inspiring endeavors all over town.
