A Tribute to an Exciting Year of Building & Design
A Tribute to an Exciting Year of Building & Design
Thursday, December 22nd, 2016
As this year comes to a close, we want to take a moment to celebrate the hard work of our wonderful team and the homeowners we’ve served by commemorating our top three most exciting projects of 2016.
Breaking Ground at Rarity Bay with Our Beautiful Parade Home
Back in March, we broke ground at Rarity Bay with our Parade Home (Lot 492). A stunning new addition to Rarity Bay with rich detail, brick finishes, and a gorgeous view of Tellico Lake and the Great Smoky Mountains, this home really stands out from the rest.
With a transitional French country design, you will notice steep roof lines and hard angled pitches, custom trim detail, beautiful tile accents and all brick exterior:
After driving up the exposed aggregate driveway and entering the foyer, the 8’ doors and thick moldings really make an impact when you first walk inside. The patterned hardwood floors created with varying board widths of 3, 5, and 7” will probably grab your attention next. Designed with an open floor plan, this home not only maximizes the indoor living space, but provides homeowners with a view of the beautiful outdoor scenery from almost every angle.
Both the kitchen and master bath include unique custom upgrades, such as: taller cabinets for additional storage with more trim details; extra trim details all around (e.g. large crown molding, taller baseboards, and window trim); and tile accent features above the range and inside the shower.

Taking Outdoor Living to the Next Level with This Renovation
In the summer, we completed an incredible outdoor living renovation in Sherwood Oaks. The homeowners gave us the liberty to brainstorm and develop the overall design concept, so we were able to explode this project with new, out-of-the-box ideas.
Sherwood Oaks Backyard
The recreational areas we designed and built are stunning: a basketball-tennis court combo, a golf course, and an inground pool with a slide! We even tagged a wall with graffiti for an edgy, personal touch.
We built a circular fire pit with custom seating, perfect for enjoying good company and a cold drink. Just off to the side is a grilling porch equipped with a gas burner grill and under counter fridge.

A Dramatic Transformation to Wrap Up the Year
One of the biggest challenges families face as they grow is that their home doesn’t grow with them. At least not without a little help from us. This home in the Bearden area was well loved by its homeowners, but was not quite big enough for comfortable living. By moving and shifting the home’s original design and adding a significant amount of square footage, we were able to transform the space so everyone could have more elbow room.
To free up more space upstairs for the kids and give dad and mom a retreat of their own, we moved the master bedroom suite to the main level and built it out to include an office, his/hers closets, and a large bathroom with a walk-in shower and soaker tub. The bathroom features beautiful gray marble tile on the floor and walls with unique patterns, and quartz countertops create a rich look. The trey ceiling with thick moldings and the chandelier over soaker tub adds an exquisite touch to the room as well.
The kitchen is what we like to call the “hub of the home”. By opening up the original breakfast area, we created a new expansive space perfect for family dinners, entertaining, and holiday get-togethers.
We also built out a mudroom with a functional laundry area which allowed for additional storage space that is accessible from the side of the house and the garage. This custom design features blue cabinets, exposed whitewashed brick from the existing part of the house, and gray tile.
The elevation grade of this property allowed us to build a great hangout underneath the addition with T&G ceiling and fans. Only a short walk down the stairs from the grilling porch, this spot is perfect for a summer afternoon barbecue or a kids’ birthday party!
Our building and design process delivers exceptional quality, functional beauty, and a transparent construction timeline right from the start. In 2016, we were honored to be named Cityview’s Best of the Best for remodeling, new construction, and outdoor living space renovations and a Top Knox Popular Pick for renovations and remodeling.
From contract to completion, we guarantee a building experience like no other, because the most important aspect of your home is you. If you have a home you would like to build, expand, or renovate sometime during the new year, please contact us to see how we can give you a home you and your family will love for years to come.
