Our Knoxville natives were ready to trade the bustle of downtown apartment living for the quiet charm of the neighborhood life they grew up with. Their custom designed home brings that dream to life, offering every comfort their growing family could need, with space to entertain, play, and unwind in style.
Paying homage to the stately sophistication of English Tudor design, this home reflects the architectural diversity that has defined Sequoyah Hills for decades. Continuing that tradition, it adds to the neighborhood’s beloved storybook charm, blending old-world character with the ease and comfort of modern living. “Designing and building this home was a true labor of love,” our client says. “We wanted it to feel rooted in history but also warm and comfortable. It needed to look like it belonged here and like it would still feel right decades from now.”
Living In Luxury
From the striking ceiling beams to the bold fireplace, this family room is designed to take your breath away. The family embraced the open concept with the kitchen and dining room adjacent to the living room. Just as important, was bringing the outside in with the patio and back yard space. By dropping the screen panels and opening the large accordion glass door, they will be able to entertain or just relax all year round in a large, open gathering space. Throughout the home, we worked to create unique personal spaces with the use of wallpaper in several rooms, a tailored designed handrail, and using thoughtfully selected lighting from Ferguson as part of the homes jewelry!
Stand Out Space
At the heart of the home is the custom designed kitchen. With our trade partners Dixie Kitchen, Smokey Mountain Tops, and Tennessee Stone we were able to bring the homeowners dreams to life in the kitchen and pantry. The custom color green perimeter cabinets distressed oak island, Taj Mahl quartzite tops, all pair perfectly with the stone hood surround.
A hidden pantry that feels like a secret! Designed for both beauty and function. This tucked-away space offers a dedicated bar area and ample shelving to keep everything perfectly organized and within reach. It’s the kind of feature that quietly elevates everyday living, blending convenience and a touch of whimsy into the heart of the home.
Fit For A Family
Every corner of this home has been carefully designed with family in mind. A bright and cheerful playroom offers a lively space for little ones to learn, play, and grow. The garage doubles as a golf simulator and movie room. The homeowner envisions many hours spent as a family enjoying the shared space. Downstairs, the primary suite serves as a luxurious retreat. This serene getaway that offers peace and comfort away from the openness of the rest of the home. Again, every detail was planned for the homeowners to have a space they will enjoy for many years. The primary bath features a his and hers vanity area, a large walk-in shower with multiple shower heads, in ceiling speakers, and a steam function.
