Throw in Tellico Lake views, a mother-in-law suite and transitional details, and you’ll never want to leave! This month’s project feature is another Rarity Bay custom home, and we’re giving you your own virtual look through our clients’ new luxurious lakeside home.
A Place to Gather
At the heart of this home, a show-stopping kitchen opens into a great room that boasts vaulted ceilings, wood beams and a custom fireplace anchored by built-ins. With the help of McCamy designer, Ashley Jones, our clients selected details that gave them the transitional look they were after. The kitchen and main living space remain light and airy despite dramatic wood beams and a pop of color on the kitchen island. Fun light fixtures add a touch of personality, giving that custom feel to their one-of-a-kind home.
Beauty Inside and Out
Plenty of outdoor space was a must-have for our out-of-state clients relocating to East Tennessee. Their Tellico Lake backdrop can be enjoyed from 4 different porches, including a screened porch with a fireplace and vaulted ceilings. Plenty of windows on the backside of the house means the sparkling waters are visible from every angle, and the natural light that pours in makes each room feel warm and inviting.
Mother Knows Best
We lovingly called this project “Mom’s Mountain House” throughout the building process due to the mother-in-law suite that takes up part of the main floor. Designed like a spacious one-bedroom apartment, this suite has garage access and its own balcony and lake view. The lucky tenant’s stylish new space was a must-have for the homeowners, so McCamy’s team helped adjust their building plans to make it happen.
Another item on their wishlist was a walk-out basement with an extra garage for their golf carts. Their new home in Rarity Bay means plenty of amenities to enjoy, including a country club and golf course. Their basement garage includes a dog bath and a whole lot of storage space. They won’t soon run out of room for more hobbies to enjoy in their new season of life!
Magic in the Details
The magic of this home is truly in the details: pops of color that coordinate throughout the home, gold accents that feel current, and plenty of functional storage for our homeowners to utilize. The clients love how the design of their home turned out, and they attribute that to Ashley’s guidance. “She quickly understood our style and was able to provide a set of 3 to 5 options to pick from that made it much easier.”
The clients reflected on their move to Tennessee from Pennsylvania, and they’re thrilled to finally be in their new home. “We’re enjoying it very much! It’s sometimes hard to believe we are actually here. When we came down to TN from PA about 2 weeks before the home was finished for our walkthrough, we were very happy with how everything came together. It was obvious that attention to detail went into the home build. Grant, Ashley and team were great to work with and we would not have wanted to work with anyone else!”
