On time commercial construction doesn’t happen by accident
Friday, July 5th, 2013
When it comes to commercial construction, we’ve focused our attention on the process so that we can produce at the highest level of quality, on time – every time. As a business owner, you shouldn’t have to worry about us doing our job well, and our clients’ testimonials show that we do the best work under pressure.
For example, we had the opportunity to do a renovation at Salon Visage, but with a twist. The business had to stay open during business hours and we did most of the work after they closed for the day. A challenge for sure, but we believe that every great team has a playbook and we do too, and we execute the plays with precision.
Here is our commercial business process:
1. Initial meeting with the client to determine customer objectives and budget
2. Follow Up Meeting with conceptual drawings
3. Initial architect meeting
4. Deposit for architect and design meeting
5. Design Development and Pricing
6. Approval of Plans
7. Final estimate with allowances
8. Construction contract
9. Obtain permits
10. Begin construction
11. Finish design meeting
12. Execute contracts with subcontractors and material suppliers
13. Periodic meetings with customer on-site
14. Progress billing
15. Daily Supervisor Logs and Reporting, pictures and spec sheet checks
16. Completion – internal punch list
17. On-site meeting with the customer and customer punch list review
18. Final walk through before completion date
19. Final remittance
20. 30-Day planned Follow up
In each commercial project we make sure that these 20 steps are completed in order, which results in your project, your business opening on-time and on budget. Take a look at some of the other companies we’ve done work for.
