A Special Tribute to 6 Years of McCamy Custom Home Building
Thursday, July 27th, 2017
Since 2011, McCamy Construction has been building and designing gorgeous custom homes in Knoxville and the surrounding areas. We’ve been feeling a little nostalgic lately, so we would like to share a couple of our favorite custom homes we’ve done over the years as well as two we’re currently working on.Nora’s Path
One of our previous Parade of Homes entries, this Knoxville home was built in Nora’s Path, a fairly new West Knoxville subdivision near Hardin Valley. This home was constructed using an open floor plan. With the kitchen being the hub of the home, the subsequent living spaces created a natural flow, making this layout extremely functional.
Designed with space for leisure in mind, we constructed a vaulted T&G ceiling, perfect for fall ball games, and a sizable upstairs, more than enough room for a growing family, including a three car garage. We built a screen porch with a fireplace off the back patio, which allowed the residents to comfortably enjoy their backyard’s great view.
Rarity Bay
This beautiful home in Rarity Bay was last year’s Parade of Homes favorite and takes custom building to a whole new level. With a transitional French country design, we built this home with steep roof lines and hard angled pitches, custom trim detail, beautiful tile accents and all brick exterior. Designed with an open floor plan, this home not only maximizes the indoor living space, but provides homeowners with a view of the beautiful outdoor scenery from almost every angle. The kitchen and master bath also include unique custom upgrades, such as: taller cabinets for additional storage with more trim details; extra trim details all around (e.g. large crown molding, taller baseboards, and window trim); and tile accent features above the range and inside the shower.
Two More Custom Homes in Progress: French Broad River & Keller Bend
French Broad River
Earlier this year we broke ground on a custom home on French Broad River. This home will have many interesting design elements, energy efficient elements (such as geo-thermal heating), and even has a secret playroom! As you can see from the picture below, it’s coming along nicely.
Keller Bend
We’re nearing the finish line with this custom home in Keller Bend! Installing cabinetry and starting the trim was at the top of our checklist this month and we’re looking forward to filling August with more work on some beautiful finishes. We’ll have this home completed soon and if you want to see it for yourself, you can check it out during the Parade of Homes in October!
If you’d like to keep tabs on our progress, follow us on Facebook where we’ll share updates on these homes and others we’re working on.
