Create Your Parade of Homes, Hire a New Home Builder
Friday, April 4th, 2014
Were you one of the many who enjoyed the
Parade of Homes in Knoxville this past October? Did you find yourself walking through

thehomes and thinking “If I could take that kitchen, that living room, … and put it all in one home it would be perfect”? If you did, you can have that!
When you ask a
new home builder to build you a custom home, that is what you are getting. You are getting what you and an architect have created to be built on land that you have purchased.
Before you hire a company to create your custom home, there are a few details to take care of to ensure you hire the right company for you.
First, be sure you meet the team. Not just the person in the company who is your point of contact. Meet the team involved in the process of creating your custom home. You want to meet:
- The developer: If you are building in a community, you want information about the developer. Find out what the current by-laws are, and find out how long the developer plans on being involved in the community. Do some background googling on the developer.
- The designer: Meet the person who will be working on the design of your new home. This person usually works on the options for your home. You probably have some ideas, but this person might have ideas too. Make sure they are willing to bring ideas, but to listen to you and accept what you want.
- The contractor: Ask who will be involved in building your home as contractors and sub-contractors. Do a little Internet googling on them as well. Just to see what you find. If you find something that makes you wonder, have a conversation with the company you have hired to build your custom home.

After you have met those key people and feel you are with the right company, get started on seeing your dream home built.
We’d love to have you
contact us and meet our team. We are confident you will like our service and love the home we build for you.
