An Update on 923 North Central – Commercial Renovation in Happy Holler
Monday, March 30th, 2015
We first mentioned this project in September when we first started on the
Commercial Renovation for building owners, husband/wife duo, Shawn Poynter and Dale Mackey. They’ve got a vision for the building, which is a prime candidate for a complete makeover in an area that is definitely up and coming back to life and we’re happy to say that it is coming together.
You can see from top photo how far we’ve come, as the middle photo shows the building before we got started and the bottom image of the rendering shows where we are going.
Over the last few months, we’ve been able to accomplish a lot. All interior framing is complete. If you pay special attention to the photo at the bottom, you’ll notice the industrial steel supports with lag bolts to tie in look of this old garage. We’ve got all the windows and doors installed and the roofing is complete as well, with siding finishing up this week.
We’ve finished with the electrical & plumbing rough-in and the HVAC install is next on the schedule. If it’s not clear from the pictures, the building is really beginning to look, feel and smell like a completely different place.
You may remember that building co-owner Dale is the Dale of
Dale’s Fried Pies and if you look at the photo below, you’ll see that the”Dale’s fried pies” kitchen hood exhaust is onsite ready for install.
This project is certainly coming together – and I can’t wait to see what the finished project looks like once the interior is finished…and eat one of Dale’s Fried Pies!
