In the living room, the home originally showcased a built-in bookshelf integrated with a gas fireplace. Wanting to preserve a touch of the home’s original character, McCamy chose to keep the fireplace. Giving it a facelift to make it the centerpiece in this beautifully reimagined space. During renovations, the removal of outdated carpeting revealed a hidden gem—original hardwood floors. With sanding and a fresh finish, these floors now add warmth and charm that elevate the entire room.
Functional Features
Carefully reimagined, this kitchen blends clean design with everyday functionality in a space that feels both fresh and everlasting. By opening up walls, the layout now invites natural light to cascade through multiple windows, illuminating every detail. From the rich wood grain of the hardwood floors to the crisp white cabinetry, every aspect is intentional. A large, custom island with warm wood paneling and sleek countertops anchors the space, offering both beauty and utility. Overhead, a trio of pendant lights adds a soft glow to the room. The primary bathroom is a true retreat, blending luxury with tasteful design. At its heart is a spacious walk-in shower enclosed in sleek frameless glass, featuring elegant tile work and a built-in bench that adds both comfort and sophistication. On either side of the entrance to the spacious walk-in closet, matching vanities nestled within graceful arched alcoves—each paired with gold-framed mirrors and rich, detailed wood cabinetry that adds warmth and character to the clean, contemporary aesthetic.
