The Missing Piece

Nothing has us longing for a Tennessee summer quite like a gloomy winter day and a brand new poolside pavilion. Luckily it’s never the wrong time to start dreaming up your outdoor oasis, and we’re here to provide some backyard inspo to get you through! (Or maybe to convince you to finally contact the McCamy team.)
This month’s project features the home of some loyal Knoxville clients. Their beautiful home, situated on a golf course, was missing the functional outdoor entertainment space that they had grown to love in their previous home. They desired a kitchen and living space that could provide a spot for poolside relaxation with a view of the golf course. The idea for this project was brought to life by Holly Young Williams Architecture, and McCamy happily stepped in to make their plans a reality.
A Seamless Addition
An important task throughout the project was tying in the design of the new structure with the style of the existing home and poolhouse. Stone was selected from Tennessee Stone to match the existing water table as closely as possible. Shingles were also an important material to match. The pavilion was color matched to the trim on the house, making it look like it has been there all along!
Outdoor Luxury
Using natural materials in an outdoor space is not only crucial to withstand the elements; it also merges the feel of being indoors and out. Oakville Stone pavers were chosen from our friends at Tennessee Stone to bring an elevated feel to the floor of the space. Black leathered granite–a durable, low maintenance material–was chosen for countertops throughout the pavilion. The stone fireplace and painted tongue and groove ceiling make this space feel grand–no corners were cut making this space feel luxurious!
Happy Clients
Although this winter has kept them from enjoying their new space as much as they would like, these homeowners couldn’t be more pleased with their second McCamy project!
